Arizona Restaurant Week: Some Favorites

Hundreds of Valley restaurants are partaking in the weeklong celebration of deliciousness known as Arizona Restaurant Week, September 19 -28. Many of Scottsdale’s most acclaimed restaurants will be serving up decadent dishes. Venture out to try some of this city’s most notable eateries, including Cowboy Ciao, Relish Burger Bistro, The Mission, Kazimierz World Wine Bar, Second Story Liquor Bar, Posh, Culinary Dropout and many more.

How does a bruschetta duet with grilled eggplant, roasted heirloom tomato and burrata on the first and roasted ‘brown turkey’ fig, uncured pancetta, house-made ricotta and kumquat puree on the second sound to you? This is what you’ll find on the menu at Cowboy Ciao. And that’s just the appetizer! Choose from grilled flat iron steak, bison meatloaf or seared salmon for your entrĂ©e. Don’t forget the brioche bread pudding and chocolate whiskey cake combination to end a fabulous dinner! This is a meal to be remembered for days, dare we say months.

For an exciting and tantalizing spin on the traditional burger, make your way over to Relish Burger Bistro at The Phoenician. Prepare for the main course by sinking your teeth into the watermelon mint salad or bacon wrapped chili popper. Now for the beloved burger – the “El Rey” Kobe burger with house ham black bean ragu, roasted jalapeno aioli, avocado, tomato, fried egg, grilled red onion, shredded iceberg, pickled jalapeno and habanero jack cheese served on a fresh baked baguette bun is packed with fresh and flavorful ingredients. If you’re not a red meat lover, go for the exotic and tasty twist on trout! Try the crispy-skin steel head trout with grilled cebollitas, roasted fingerling potato salad with escabiche. Check out the menu to see what’s in store for dessert!

Ambiance meets an outrageous medley of Latin cuisine at The Mission. Chandeliers, candlelit walls and enchanting patios set the tone for the elegant and classic food by Chef Matt Carter. Prepare your taste buds for a blast of flavor with the Peruvian clam stew or Brussels sprout tacos with soy vinaigrette, Yuzu honey yogurt and Serrano peanuts. Nosh on green chile duck confit or pork shoulder with house made chorizo and sweet garlic crema during the main course. Top it all off with pumpkin bread pudding or Guatemalan chocolate pastilla for dessert. View the full menu here and prepare to salivate!

Restaurants and menus are being added daily. Make sure to check out the full list here, and don’t forget to come hungry!
